FAQs
1. Do I have to be Hispanic/Latino to join? No! At LASO we value diversity more than anything and accept people from all around the world. However, all of our member meetings are conducted in Spanish, as it is most of our members' first language and it is a way for us to feel more comfortable and stick to our culture.

2. How do I become a member? You can become a member anytime, just Venmo membership fees to @lasoxucla, or present cash at any of our events. Please make sure you let us know the type of membership you are purchasing.

3. What are the membership fees? When it comes to membership fees, there are two options: Quarterly fees and Annual fees. Please consult current prices by emailing ucla.laso@gmail.com or direct messaging LASOxUCLA on Instagram.

4. What do membership fees include? Both fees give you entry to all our events for free (unless otherwise listed for bigger events) and access to exclusive members-only events.

5. What kind of events do you host? Our past events have included apartment and rooftop parties, cultural dinners where we share our love for Latin American cuisine and culture, pregames and L.A. club outings, beach days, and more! For the coming year, we are planning on also throwing soccer and football tailgates, a "Dia de los Muertos" celebration, beach volleyball tournaments, and many more! Stay tuned by following our social media channels.

Besides organized events, LASO holds on-campus meetings to encourage strong bonds between our members, where we play games and give presentations to inform members of the sociopolitical situation in our countries. For example, last year we had presentations that informed us about the conflicts going on in Venezuela while we munched on delicious tequeños!
